Anaemia is when the body’s cells lose their energy supply as a result of low red blood cells, which supply food and oxygen to the cells. The red blood cells contain haemoglobin, and haemoglobin is a protein that controls the movement of oxygen in the body. There are some food that gives blood, which we will talk about. The best way to build blood is to add into your diet things with vitamin B 12, iron and folic acid. Another name to call anaemia is loss of blood. Low blood cells are caused by vitamin B12, folic acid and iron deficiencies.

The body needs iron because it supplies blood, aids blood cell metabolism, increases the flow of blood, and also helps in the production of red blood cells. When there is a drop in red blood cells in the body, you may experience symptoms like headache, appetite loss, fatigue, shortness of breath, etc.

2. Beef:

Another food that gives blood and also enriches the red blood cells because of its high amount of iron present in it is Beef, popularly known as red meat. Vitamin B-12 is also high in beef, and this is a great nutrient for building the blood. People suffering from anaemia should consume red meat because the variety of iron in it is the one that can be easily absorbed by the blood.

3. Unripe Plantain:

Plantain is a very popular food that gives blood. It can be eaten fried, boiled or porridge. Apart from its delicious taste, unripe plantain is a good source of iron and other nutrients. These vegetables are rich in iron, which is key in the production of red blood cells. Besides iron, they are also rich in folic acid, which also helps with the production of red blood cells. 

The good thing about dark green leafy vegetables is that there are so many to choose from, including spinach, broccoli, collard greens, lettuce, kale, and more. You can also enjoy them in different ways.
